Couture 2010 show adds German Pavilion, nextWAVE

The Couture 2010 show, to be held at the Wynn in Las Vegas June 3 through June 7, will feature new designer-focused options including a German Pavilion.

Las Vegas--When the Couture 2010 show opens at the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas on June 3, the luxury-attuned retailers who step inside will find not only the world's most important and respected jewelry brands from around the globe, as they've come to expect, but some new, design-centric innovations and additions.

Now in its 15th year, the Couture show, held from June 3 through June 7, 2010, will continue its dedication to showcasing the best designers in the industry including luminaries such as David Yurman, Marco Bicego, Alex Sepkus, Charriol and many others. Couture's long-running dedication to weaving together the right brands with the right retailers, all against the Wynn hotel's luxurious backdrop, has proven to be an unbeatable formula.

But this year, Couture has announced that it will also introduce the German Pavilion, continuing its efforts to provide key exposure to the most important and innovative European designers and brands. The new pavilion will feature six cutting-edge German designers, including Gellner, Michael Weggenmann, Niessing, Heinrich and Denzel, Gebr. Schaffrath and Isabelle Fa. From materials to fabrication, this exceptionally talented group will introduce show attendees to new ways of looking at design.

"For us, there is no doubt, that this is the event for innovative, upscale jewelry and we are more than excited to be at such an exclusive show," said Michael Weggenmann of Michael Weggenmann Designs in a Couture-issued press release.

Also this year, expect to see some new faces and looks in the showcases of the Design Atelier, known as the venue for emerging trends, specialized techniques, progressive designs and limited productions. At this year's show, several of Atelier's previous residents have graduated to the show's main floor.

The nextWAVE in the Lafite Ballroom features a gallery of jewelry design stars that have gone beyond emerging status and have begun their ascent to stardom, following the path of Design Atelier alumni such as Arunashi , K. Brunini and Sevan.

"Couture retailers are a discerning group," says Couture Show Director Lee Arevian, "and they come to Couture not only with certain buying criteria for their stores, but also with a special shopping list for key clients who are looking for that distinctive piece. The German Pavilion, the Design Atelier and the nextWAVE all give us unique outlets to deliver for our retailers."
