Scotland -- Once again it's thath exciting time of the year when the biggest annual fashion event take place in Scotland's vibrant city from 11th - 14th November 2009.
Glasgow Fashion Week wiil be held at The Lighthouse Scotland's Centre for Architecture and Desing and the City. Known to be one of the only centers in the world that is dedicated to architecture, desing and the creative industires. The Lighthouse and Glasgow Fashion Week partnership is a great opportunity for the talend desingers to showcase their designs in an exciting and stylish venue in the heart of Glasgow.
Glasgow Fashion Week is ‘The Official International Fashion Week in Scotland’ aimed at providing a platform for designers to showcase their collections. GFW is open to all designers who are interested in creating exposure and awareness of their label/brand. Student, graduate of fashion, new start up, existing small and medium fashion business, high street or high end designer GFW is the place for you.
Designers and Exhibitors are welcomed to enter the following Show Categories:
Ready-to-wear, Concept, Swimwear & Lingerie, Couture, Accessories, Jewellery, Accessories, Shoes, Others – hair, make up, beauty etc.
For this year we are pleased to announce a grant for £2500 by one of our sponsors to designers to cover 85% of the cost of their catwalk and exhibition shows.
To apply for the grant please complete application form and return no later than Friday 28th August 2009. For those applying for catwalk shows please ensure your Look books, photos or DVD of your work are included. Materials received later than this might not be accepted. Vetting will end by Monday 31st August 2009.
