Northeastern to add sparkle to charity fashion show

Saratoga Springs, N.Y.--Northeastern Fine Jewelry has been selected as the official jewelry store for the 11th Annual Ronald McDonald House Charities Fashion Show, slated for Aug. 27 at the Saratoga Race Course in Saratoga Springs, N.Y.

The fashion show, an event of the Shadwell Travers Festival, will showcase a wide variety of designers and includes lunch and a silent auction, with proceeds benefiting the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Capital Region, a home-like environment that provides support for the families of seriously ill children.

Northeastern will accessorize the models with jewelry from Stephen Webster, Leslie Greene, Judith Ripka, Marco Bicego and Mikimoto, according to a media release.

The store will donate a portion of the day's sales at the event to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Capital Region.

"It's an honor and a privilege for us to be part of this effort that combines high fashion with charitable giving," Ray Bleser, owner and founder of Northeastern, said in the release. "We are passionate about sparkling jewels and sparkling causes, and the Ronald McDonald House Charities Fashion Show is the ideal setting for both."

The show, called "Come on a My House," will be held under the At the Rail Pavilion at the Saratoga Race Course beginning at 11:00 a.m. Admission is $150.

The Travers Festival is an annual event held in Saratoga Springs that culminates in the running of America's Mid-Summer Derby, The Shadwell Travers Stakes, scheduled this year for Aug. 29.

Northeastern Fine Jewelry has four locations: two in Schenectady, N.Y, as well as a store in Albany, N.Y. and one in Manchester, Vt.
