USA -- Award-wining Romanian designer Catalin Botezatu will make his third appearance at Couture Fashion Week presenting his latest collection of avant-garde designs entitled "Hot Rainbow." The fashion show will be held at 8:30 p.m. on Friday, September 11, 2009 at the world-famous Waldorf Astoria Hotel on New York's legendary Park Avenue.

Catalin Botezatu is one of Romania's most important fashion designers. Mr. Botezatu launched his career in 1992 and established his own fashion house in 1996. He is one of the few major fashion designers who directs and styles his own shows and makes all his accessories. His distinguished clientele includes politicians, socialites, VIPs, entertainers and celebrities. Nevertheless, his beautiful haute couture designs have a strong appeal for every woman looking to bring out her femme fatale side through sensual, refined and sophisticated gowns.

Catalin Botezatu's distinctive couture collections have been presented worldwide and have been recognized with many international awards. He has been named "Designer of the Year" six years in a row by VIP Magazine (Romania), and has twice been presented with the "Award for Excellence in Fashion" by Fashion TV Romania, in addition to numerous other fashion awards around the world.

A prolific and energetic fashion icon, Catalin Botezatu has done runway shows all over the globe including Rome, Athens, Monte Carlo, St. Tropez, Cannes, Moscow, Turkey, Budapest, Ibiza, Malta, Sun City (South Africa), Windock (Namibia), as well as New York and his fashion accomplishments have been featured in prominent publications and media worldwide, including Der Stern, Book Moda, Vogue U.K., Financial Times, EuroNews, Deutsche Welle, VIP Moda, Modastyle International, World Fashion TV, and Italian television networks RAI, TG3 and Italia Piu. Most of his fashion shows are broadcast by Fashion TV.

Mr. Botezatu showed his designs on the catwalk as part of the Ford Agency's Supermodel of the Year competition in Las Vegas and has staged fashion shoots and shows at the Amir Palace in Tunis, as well as in Luxor and Cairo, Egypt. Recently he has done fashion shows in Tunisia as part of that country's Independence Day celebrations, at the Cannes International TV Festival, at Fashion Weeks in Jakarta, Bali, Iceland, Athens, Bucharest, Athens and Jamaica, at the ModaLive Mediteraneo fashion festival in Italy, at the Romanian embassy in Paris, and at the World Bikini Model 2009 event in Malta, as well as at the Miss Austria and Queen of Europe beauty pageants.

In addition to his exquisite couture designs, Catalin Botezatu is also famous for his women's lingerie and men's underwear creations. He has designed over 30 men's underwear fashion shows, and in 2005 he opened the FTV Model Awards with his lingerie collection - the first fashion show to be held on the stage of the famous Moulin Rouge in Paris. In 2007 Mr.Botezatu

became the first international designer to create a brand collection inspired by a car: the "Maserati Collection", and the same year Mr.Botezatu became one of the first European designers to hold a fashion show on an airplane in flight. In early 2009, Mr.Botezatu presented his first pret-a-porter collection for the important German brand Quelle, previously designed by fashion legend Karl Lagerfeld. Soon after, Mr. Botezatu presented couture, underwear and swimwear collections during the opening event of the World Alpine Ski Championship Kitzbuhel, Austria.

Couture Fashion Week is a multi-day event showcasing couture and luxury fashion. It also includes exhibits of luxury brands and fine art as well as world-class entertainment and receptions. The event is held in top venues in New York City, Dallas, Palm Beach, Florida and other selected cities and is attended by upscale consumers, invited VIPs, the press and high-end store buyers.
