With the latest trends and new products, Fashion Shanghai 2009 closed with great success at the Shanghai New Int’l Expo Center, Shanghai, on March 12, 2009.
Occupying a total floor space of 45,000 m2, Fashion Shanghai 2009 has attracted 1,100 exhibitors from 12 countries and regions, among which overseas exhibitors accounting for 10.5%, including USA, Italy, UK, Australia, Korea, Thailand, Hong Kong, Taipei, etc.
The exhibits of Fashion Shanghai 209 covered various garments, fashion accessories, textile fabrics, yarn, accessories, fiber, home textiles, CAD/CAM, trade media, textile website, international detection and test institute and specialized business intermediary, etc.
Fashion Shanghai 2009 has been attached great importance by professional visitors home and abroad. The total numbers of visitors for 3 days are 25,050 persons. Among them,12% are overseas visitors from 53 countries and regions, representing a increase of 2% compared to last year.
Various events held during Fashion Shanghai included Catwalk shows, Trend forum, Workshop meeting, Spot business talks meeting, press meeting, opening party, etc.
Especially, in the theme of ‘Green Fashion’, 360m2 was dedicated for Green Fashion Trend Forum in Hall W2. Fabric & Garment regarding organic, natural dyeing, environment friendly, recycle and reform was displayed at there. In addition, there was a fashion show of Hanbok(Korean Traditional Costume) and Chungsam(Chinese Traditional Costume) during the opening party. It was the first time that Korean and Chinese traditions clothes had a catwalk show together.
