Lady Foot Locker has reached out to one blogger with a well-manicured finger on the pulse of "what's hot," to bring you tips on how to make your classroom debut one for the yearbook!
According to NYC fashionista/blogger, Tricia Lewis of 34th Street's Fashion Herald , the hottest trends parading down the runways have inspired casual footwear brands to step-it-up for Back to School. Eye-catching brights and neons, traditional black-and-white, and even some retro-inspired prints will be seen hitting the pavement this Fall.
Lewis on one of her favorite trends: "It's black and white all over. From runways to fashion mags, and directly to your feet, keeping it black and white is the right thing for right now. Call it trendy, but I like it in my closet every season." Lady Foot Locker highlights this classic trend with the Puma Etoile and the Nike Prestige, which even adds silver into the mix.
"You can't be shy when wearing the enduring 80's trend of neon," Lewis explains in reference to Lady Foot Locker's collection of high-lighter inspired Converse Chuck Taylors. "It's still cool, and it's still everywhere -- and my shoes are where I really love to showcase it, i.e. my neon orange Chucks. Sometimes I throw on a neon scarf to complement my kicks. Whichever way you want to go, neon on your feet is a definite boost in your closet this year for back to school."
Another great trend to try this fall: patterns and textures. "I've seen this trend emerge from the runways for the past couple seasons, but now it's really blooming. With patterns you can really have some fun and make it your own," Lewis adds. Nike leads the way by combining their iconic elephant print with both neons and neutrals in a pack including the Prestige high, lo, and Shox Reveal III. "You'll find all sorts of designs on your kicks this season so don't shy away -- embrace the pattern."
