Jo says: "Music is personal, but pick a song which means something to both of you.

"For some people it's hip hop, for some it's classical, I could strip to the News at Ten theme if I had to!

"Choose whatever evokes that erotic part of you. It's inside everyone, it's just whether you can unleash it or not."

The Outfit

"The most important thing is that you can take it off 閳?it sounds obvious, but I had a student who wanted to strip for her partner's 40th birthday wearing a PVC catsuit.

"It's very noisy and squelchy and it's unattractive when comes it off!

"The beauty of striptease is it can just be you stripping for your partner, or you can take on a whole new persona.

"So if you're quite a forceful person, wear something innocent and sweet: if you're quite a shy person, dress like a dominatrix.

"Your knickers should have decent elasticity and your bra should fasten at the back.

"Top it off with a sexy, strappy dress which can slide off with ease.

"Depending on how theatrical you want it to be, you can add accessories, like a feather boa, or a whip if you want to get wild!

"Heels will give you a sexy stance, but make sure you pick some you can walk in.

"If you like stockings and suspenders, go for it 閳?these can stay on throughout. It's a great fantasy look which everyone can obtain.

Preparation

"A bit of dutch courage is alright, but you shouldn't need it if you really want to do this.

"Don't drink too much because you will fall over, or get stupid and giggly.

"Don't be nervous - you are giving your partner a gift. And you are in control.

"To begin, you should always have one leg bent and one leg straight. Start with a nice simple pose, nothing too theatrical, ready to move."

The Moves

The Wiggle 閳?a sideways figure of eight movement with your hips.

The Walk 閳?walking punctuates the striptease. It's the movement that connects every other movement you make and every item of clothing you take off.

You'll end up looking like a rabbit in the headlights if you stand still 閳?it's a bit scary.

But don't just do it as if you're walking to office, it needs to be a sensual, slow movement.

If you like to dance that's fine, but you're not at a disco. It's about control. If you throw your arms out, bring them back into your body. You need to always bring the viewer's eye back to your form.

Eye contact - You need to look at your victim, sorry, audience. Don't stare at them as it is overbearing, and they will want to hold your gaze instead of looking at the rest of your body 閳?which defeats the point of the striptease!

The strip

"The side that you are undressing should always face your audience.

"Take your right shoulder strap down and look at your right shoulder. This will draw the viewer's gaze there and help you just take your dress strap down, not your bra strap.

"With your left hand, take the strap down over the shoulder to the elbow. Slip your arm out, turn to the other side and do the same thing.

"When you are ready to reveal your bra, don't lean forward or wiggle, just stand very still 閳?you are giving your partner two very special gifts 閳?so you want him or her to see them.

"Once your dress is under your breasts, pull it down to reveal your midriff.

"When it is sitting on your hips, then look at your boobs and caress them 閳?you haven't gone all this way only to ignore your breast assets!

"The main pattern in striptease is to reveal, caress, reveal and so on.

"All the movements should be punctuated with walking, teasing, flirty facial expressions. If you strip really quickly, it's not a tease.
