USA -- Passionate about design, style and glamour, fashion show producer Cameron Scott is stepping out from behind the curtain to unveil his new collection for spring/summer 2009 during a national trunk show tour.

The 26-year old designer, who began his career producing large-scale fashion shows for boutiques as well as internationally recognized fashion superstars including Betsey Johnson, will introduce a new "Resort" collection at trunk shows in Detroit, Los Angeles and Chicago. The tour kicks off on January 4, 2009 in Scott's former hometown of Detroit, with a show at The Annex in Royal Oak, Michigan.

Scott states, "Most people, out of fear of being extraordinary hide facets of their personality." He goes on to say, "I design by creating pieces that reflect the intensity of the human experience. Pieces that enhance the moment, and catapult everyday existence into a mythical memory."

The collection offers a number of looks. Ranging from an aquamarine bikini adorned with intricate glass-and-pewter beading, to a breathtaking cocktail dress incorporating more than 20 feet of ocean-blue, iridescent silk organza. Scott uses a broad color palette for his designs, including metallics, nudes and bold blue-greens.

No details have been overlooked in this collection. Scott and his team of couture-trained seamstresses and a knitwear specialist spent more than 200 hours meticulously constructing the samples. The designer's natural aptitude for creating flattering looks that can be worn by a wide variety of women is apparent in his designs. Dates and times for the shows include:

Born Cameron Scott Gardner on April 23, 1982 in Battle Creek, Michigan, Cameron was raised in Western Michigan. A 2000 graduate of Jenison High School, Cameron was highly involved in music and the performing arts. Upon graduating from High School, Cameron and his mother relocated to the Detroit area residing in Clinton Township, and then Bloomfield Hills where his mother and step-father still live.
