Ankle gloves ... Don't give up the day job Lindsay
But these leopard print 'ankle gloves' ($42) are enough to put me off animal print for life.
I cannot think of a single outftfit these would work with .. any ideas readers?
They definitely wouldn't have worked at the House Festival that I blagged my way in to last Thursday.
Organised by sexy members club Soho House and held in Chiswick House, the 'festival' was more like a very swish garden party.
The look of the day seemed to be cordrouy as the SH members and their middle-aged pals partied on down to The Kooks and the Sugababes.
Instead of cider and hot dogs, guests here chowed down on champagne and lobster (all free once you were through the gate).
It was so posh there were even Cowshed products in the portaloos.
There was no backstage/VIP area so the celebs mingled with the rest of us.
Never mind the bands, I got more excited than is necessary about spotting Aneka Rice.
And Sun Travel Ed Lisa was chatting up Lawrence Llewelyn Bowen quicker than you can say frilly cuff.
The lovely evening came to an abrupt end when yours truly went flying near the Cath Kidston (I told you it was Posh) tent and ended up limping to the St John Ambulance tent with a mangled knee.
Luckily my over-the-knee socks stemmed the bleeding for a while.
Anyone for Pimms? ... Jonesy and Sun Travel Ed lisa pre-fall at the House Festival
The next night I decided the best thing for a split knee was to go raving at Pacha in Victoria (?!)
It's not every day you get on to the VIP list there so I had to go (mum). I styled my outfit around my mega white plaster (a very short Bolangaro Trevor dress and cream River Island platforms).
The club's latest makeover includes lots of lovely sofas and booths on which I could rest my throbbing legs.
And the good news is that the Red Bull seems to have speeded up my recovery!

We're heading in to what the newspapers call the silly season (all the celebs are on holiday and therefore not misbehaving, and generally there's not much news around), but we've still had a busy week on the Sun fashion desk.
All the high street stores are launching their Autumn/Winter ranges so we've been trying to get excited about floor length military coats and tartan at the same time as dieting like mad to fit in to our cut away cossies and Bestival outfits. (And yes I did say tartan, you heard it here first ladies, you'll all be wearing it by September).
The new Evans campaign features the lovely, curvacious D&G girl Crystal Renn and we got to preview the pics and the clothes over Tattinger and manicures at the Lost In Beauty salon in North London (we'll be bringing you the shots next month).
Once our neon polish had dried Deputy Fashion Ed Chloe and I headed over to The Sanderson hotel in the West End to check out what Peacocks will be stocking up on next season. Expect wicked cocktail dresses, tartan chiffon (I told you!) and cool trenches.
On Friday nursing an espresso martini hangover (it seemed like a good idea at the time, I hope the Peacocks team thought so too) I headed to the studio for our exclusive shoot with the Britain's Next Top Model finalists.
Sun stylist Saskia Quirke went for a Cool Britannia theme on the Fake Bake shoot including vintage Union Jacks, bowler hats and beefeater jackets (worn with frilly knickers, of course). Go behind the scenes at the shoot here.
The girls were all very sweet, tucking in to lots of cups of tea and bowls of french fries (they're all size 8 - not fair!). Although brunette Stephanie should know by now that a top model splashes out on a bikini wax before a lingerie shoot.
Cool Britannia ... Britain's Next Top Model Alex does her thing
I spent the weekend oop North watching my high school best friend friend perform in Miss Shirley's Dance-o-rama ... the dance school costumes have given me months of inspiration for the fashion pages (look out for lots of fishnets, illuminous legwarmers and sequinned dresses).
And then in an attempt to offset the cocktails and service station meals of the last few days I joined Beauty Addict Lauren at a Power Plate class at our local Virgin Active gym. Judging by my aching thighs, it did something.
In fact I felt so virtuous that I nipped in to Sartoria restaurant on London's Saville Row for lunch and bellinis with stylist Caryn Franklin, who was launching her latest range for Simply Be . Phew.

You know things are bad when Caprice starts looking classy.
But standing next to the style car crash that is Jade Goody at the polo in Essex this weekend, the model looked just that.
Essex girls ... what does Jade look like when she DOESN'T make an effort?!
For some reason Jade plumped for a Herve Leger inspired bandage style dress that showed every ripple, accessorising with a pint of Pimm's.
(I'm thinking Closer mag - who touted her as their latest diet success story last week - will be asking for a refund).
Caprice, 29 (ahem), meanwhile looked elegant in a pretty maxi dress and on trend sunnies.
We're all for making the most of your curves here at The Sun, but seriously Jade, you're putting us off our kebabs.

It can't be easy to create a glamorous image for a sanitary product. But last night's Always campaign launch was a lesson in how NOT to do it.
The invite was secretive - bring a friend for a night of girlie pampering - with no mention of the product.
Lucy Porter ... at least someone's laughing
We arrived at London's swanky Landmark hotel gagging for a drink. No champagne (always a bad sign) and no time for pampering as we were ushered in to the main ballroom and took our places on the rows of pink beanbags. We soon discovered the cumbersome beanbags were there to prevent us from leaving once the 'show' had started.
The trapped journos were treated to an hours 'comedy' sketch all about periods followed by a lecture from a motivational speaker ... about periods. I hope the (actually very talented) comedienne Lucy Porter was paid A LOT of money to die on her @rse in front of 50 mortified female journos. On which planet is talking about periods for two hours without any liquid refreshment actually fun?!
I did a runner to the pub once the 'worksheets' came out. But lesson learned: if they won't even tell you on the invite what the party's for then it's probably not worth going to.

I didn't think it could happen, but I might have finally kicked my addiction to highlights.
I've been hankering after SJP's more natural sun-kissed hair ever since the pap pics from the SATC movie set came out.
Richard Ward will make you look like this ... almost
So when London salon Richard Ward challenged me to ditch the bleach and try out their new more beachy-blonde 'Gisele' style I thought I'd give it a go (I don't know many women who'd say no to looking like Gisele Budchen).
A few hours in the chair and I'm a changed women.
Instead of the regular lines of thin highlights that look the same in any salon, the Cento technique involves the stylist adding colour randomly through the hair so that it's completely bespoke to me.
So instead of looking like an identikit London blondie I've got a shiny, shimmery head of hair with flashes of dark and light and honey coloured blonde throughout it.
Still blonde ... but a lot more sophisticated. I might not look like Gisele, but at least I can copy her hair.
On Thursday my new highlights and I jetted off to Ibiza for a girls weekend.
Despite the spoilsport new clubbing laws the white isle is as crazy, sexy and cool as ever.
Hands up if you're the most overdressed person in Pacha ... I don't think Gisele needs to be worried
Wardrobe wise it's all about the accessories this year: fake feathered eyelashes, metallic headbands and big belts were everywhere.
On the beach we went for straw trilbys from Topshop, patent beach bags from M&S and big bangles from everywhere.
The skinny young clubbers left little to the imagination in micro denim shorts and cut away cossies.
But anything goes in Ibiza and our party dresses went down a storm in Pacha.

It can't be easy going out with a style icon ... but it's even harder being dumped by one.
It's not only Rhys's heart that has been broken ... he's been in style meltdown since splitting with Sienna.
You are what you wear ... so is Rhys Ifans mellow yellow now? I think not.
He's always had an 'individual' take on fashion, but being with Sienna his look got more polished and he started looking cool.
Since the split he's been making odder and odder fashion choices, culminating in this lemon yellow tank top.
Sienna, what have you done?

Living on a desert island is no excuse for style slip-ups.
Visiting my friend Philippa in Bermuda last week (ok, it's not a desert island, but at 22 miles long it's close enough) I expected her usual fashion fabulousness to have slipped somewhat.
Found: the perfect beach cover-up ... ?0 Accessorize
But no, she was her super stylish self sporting all the hot summer trends with a tropical twist thanks to clever airport shopping and her mums visits to Primark.
I know everything looks better with a tan, but I loved her neon trimmed kaftan so much I logged on to Accessorize from across the atlantic to order mine as soon as I saw her in it. And her coral nails and straw trilby were bang on trend. I wonder if the preppy Bermudians realise they have a fashionista in their midst?
Say cheesecake ... Aldo and Jonesy compare sunburn
Following a week of Rum Swizzles, bbqs on the beach and scootering in the sunshine Mr Jones and I landed in London on Sunday am and had a quick power nap before heading to the Taste of London food-fest in Regent's Park (well, it's too late to worry about the bikini body AFTER the holiday).
On the menu was peking duck from China Tang, Kobe beef from Cocoon and a pig sandwich from Anthony Worrall Thompson's Notting Grill. And to finish off a summer tiramisu from Aldo Zilli cooked by the man himself, seen here having his picture taken with me (ok, maybe it was the other way round).
Thank God for the maxi dress.
June 12th 2008
I have some sad news, Mischa Barton has finally lost the fashion plot.
Since firing her stylist Rachel Zoe last year the actress's style has nosedived.
There have been signs of a wardrobe revival (the frocks at Cannes weren't all bad).
And we were hopeful that the old California boho babe would stage a comeback.
But having spotted her in these over-the-knee suede boots ... worn with tights ... in New York ... in temperatures of almost 90 degrees ... I think we can safely say it's over.
June 5th 2008
HIGH street favourite per una showed off its classy new collection today, including statement dresses and hot pink and purple coats.
It looks like we'll be wearing 70s style outfits with a smart twist this autumn.
70s luxe ... dreamy looks from per una
Great for those of us with long legs - I'm loving these Halston-esque trousers and floppy Karen Carpenter hat.
And if you're more vertically challenged don't worry, platforms will still be big news.

A big shout out to the Kurt Geiger customer services team who helped me track down the ultimate shoes for my birthday party at the weekend.
The Hattie ... I still love you even though you're on sale less than a week after I bought you (now ?4)
I'm a fashion magpie and when I saw these beauties glittering in the shoe department at Selfridges Birmingham I knew they'd be the perfect accompaniement for my OTT party dress. Well, it's my party and I'll dress up if I want to!
I designed the dress myself dontcha know (see below), well, with a little help from the design studio at styleshake.com.
The site lets you design a dress, skirt or top from scratch, choosing the fabric and colour, and to your exact measurements.
Cheers ... only a birthday girl can get away with a dress like this
It was the perfect party frock and even matched my pink champagne.
Judging by the Sun fashion team's hangovers (we're still in recovery one week later) the Soho House shindig was a goody.

Style on speed dial ... the woman Carrie calls for tips
Am I the only person in the UK NOT Sex and the City'd out?!
I know it's EVERYWHERE (New York Time Out mag even ran a cover recently saying enough is enough) but the film isn't even out until tomorrow.
I'm off to see it with a gaggle of girls, meeting for cosmos first of course (at London's Grand Union).
And so to celebrate here's some style advice from New York's most famous fashionista Patricia Field and friends.
May 20th 2008
She's been doing so well, but last night at Cannes Gwyneth made a rare fashion boo-boo in a rather shapeless Chanel frock.
Does anyone know a good dress-maker round here? ... Gwyneth in Cannes
The almost floor-length navy and black satin sheath clung to her hips and finished an inch too short of her Roger Vivier courts.
You can't buy (or should that be borrow) style.
Try telling that to the hundreds of UK shoppers that snapped up Kate Moss's red Pansy print dress within hours of her new Topshop collection going on sale.
Pansy print ... the new moss-have
The range - her sixth for the high street giant - went online at 6am this morning and by 9am 200 of them had been sold.
I'm steering clear though - otherwise I really will look like a red pansy when I bump in to six other people on Oxford Street wearing exactly the same thing.
May 14th 2008
SHRINKING violet Beth Ditto wins my best-dressed prize for her fab floaty kaftan at the opening of Alexander McQueen's LA boutique.
Rainbow ... Beth Ditto floats down the blue carpet
OK, SJP looked cute on the red carpet in his green prom dress but HOW cool would this look at an Ibizan beach bar?
You don't need to be skinny to rock the brights girls ....
Back in London Mr Jones and I supped champers surrounded by celebrities.
OK, most of the celebrities were hanging on the walls as we were celebrating celebrity snapper Richard Young's new gallery opening.
Model behaviour ... the BNTM girls
But I brushed past Tamara Beckwith (skinny but can't dress to save her life) and chatted to Natasha Hamilton (glowing) and all the girls from Britain's Next Top Model were there (huddled on the pavement looking scared).
Hair company Gliss sponsored the Red Carpet Hair exhibition and made sure the society girls and Richard's fans were kept topped up with Laurent Perrier while Aggy, Scarlett and Gwen Stefani looked on from above.
The look of the night was skyscraper heels and way too much make-up ... well, it was West London.
May 13th 2008
I pride myself on my blagging abilities and am usually able to sneak my way on to the toughest guest lists. But readers, I have to admit that I failed SPECTACULARLY at trying to bag tickets for the Sex and the City premiere on Monday.
Robbed ... did the man in the slacks really deserve a SATC ticket?
I thought I'd made it when I was invited to a secret screening as a plus one on Friday. But I was rumbled as a Sun girl and ejected from the cinema by security before the opening credits even rolled. So close ... yet so far .... cringeingly the screening was for top TV bods and presenters at the very swanky Soho Hotel and so people like Edith Bowman and Bill Turnbull looked on in horror as I was escorted off the premises.
A few cosmos at Bar Boheme round the corner calmed my burning cheeks but needless to say my chances of a premiere ticket were dashed. Instead I was sitting at my desk writing commentary on the outfits of those people that did get to go come Monday evening.
Imagine my delight (not) when I saw that Gary Lineker had rocked up to the red carpet. AS IF he's a fan of the show ... life is not fair.
What do we think about this dress? My first though was 'wow' but does it actually look like a knock-off Lipsy number?
It's not like Cat to put a pedicured foot wrong on the red carpet.
Cute or Cat-astrophy ... Cat Deeley is a lady in red at the BAFTAs bash
May 2nd 2008
Sun stylist Saskia and I headed East last night to party in Brick Lane with the Uniqlo gang.
The Japanese brand were showing off their latest campaign at the new UT gallery.
Lots of cool - and affordable! - tees modelled by lots of cool young things.
Alexa Chung was there DJ'ing alongside Lovefoxxx, but we were more interested in people watching.
Fake specs, neon heels and fascinators were the order of the day.
My Chanel wedges might have helped me get served at the 4-deep bar but they didn't like the East end cobbles and I ended up in a not very stylish heap outside a curry house.
Dressed down ... Alexa Chung goes vintage at the Uniqlo party
MAY 1st 2008
Just as we're waiting for spring to er, spring, the high street is thinking of chunky knits and Christmas party wear.
This time of year the stores show off their Autumn/Winter collections to the fashion press.
As a daily paper we're still shooting summer stories but it's good to go and see what we'll all be wearing in six months time (and people watch all the serious fashionistas at work calling in samples for their glossy shoots).
River Island showed off some rocking accessories and prom dresses that Carrie B would kill for.
And stylist Saskia and I loved the new limited edition collection that will be hitting New Look store's this autumn.
The future's bright ... New Look's new paint dress
APRIL 29th 2008
Sorry Cat, Delta Goodrem is my new fashion crush. While I salute Ms Deeley's commitment to the playsuit, Delta's the only blonde that I'm style stalking at the moment.
The soon to be Mrs Mcfadden looked like a younger Heidi Hlum at last week's Conde Nast party. I want the entire outfit right now (PLUS that hair PLUS that tan).
Red carpet knock out .. Delta Goodrem in NYC
April 18th 2008
This week has been all about Gwyneth Paltrow's legs as she tottered around Europe promoting her new film in micro minis and mega heels. There's no denying she looks fabulous. And I've been working her look wearing mini dresses, no tights (!), a blazer and heels (don't panic, there was lots of fake tan involved).
But WHAT HAPPENED in New York Gwynnie?
Surley that vintage frocky horror - below - can't be from the same wardobe as the lovely Balmain dress?
And while the Givenchy heels would be pretty damn cool worn with something - anything! - else, they're just not working here.
Thankfully this shapeless, patterned style was soon ditched for higher hemlines and a bit of tailoring for the rest of the promo tour.
