Fashion-centric OroArezzo set to open April 10

Arezzo, Italy--As OroArezzo celebrates its 31st edition, it will collaborate with the Italian version of Vogue magazine for an April 10 through April 13 jewelry show that bridges the worlds of fashion and Italian jewelry.

The fashion team of Vogue Gioiello, coordinated on the creative side by Giovanna Battaglia, the magazine's fashion director, will be dressing certain "special" mannequins, transforming each one of them into a real and true work of art, show organizers said in a press release.

"It will be an exhibition of extraordinary appeal--the fruit of a careful combination between the most precious jewelry of our 'Oro d'Autore' collection and an extraordinary series of signature outfits from the biggest Italian high fashion houses, including Giorgio Armani, Dolce and Gabbana, Valentino, Fendi, Gucci, Versace, Blumarine, Prada, Moschino, Salvatore Ferragamo, Missoni, Marni, Etro, Gianfranco Ferrè and Alberta Ferretti," Daniel Virtuoso, marketing manager of Arezzo Fiere e Congressi said in a press release.

The collaboration is part of an artistic installation project called "GoldUp," which will be presented, in the months after OroArezzo, in a wide circuit of venues located throughout Italy and abroad, including at the Arezzo Museum of Medieval and Modern Art.

In addition to GoldUp, show organizers will continue to play upon the theme of fashion with an event called Première, an initiative begun at the fair's 19th edition, for which trendy creations suggested by exhibiting jewelry companies are creatively displayed for the entire duration of the trade exhibition. And, as always at the show, international buyers and industry press will have opportunities to participate in events that focus on upcoming trends related to "Made in Italy" jewelry.
