Jewelers Mutual, Canadian jewelers team up

Neenah, Wis.--Jewelers Mutual Insurance Co. and the Canadian Jewellers Association (CJA) have announced a partnership designed to enhance the services both provide to Canadian jewelers, according to a press release issued Thursday.

Through this partnership, the CJA exclusively endorses Jewelers Mutual's insurance products and Jewelers Mutual pledges its support of the CJA's educational program and funding for CJA projects and initiatives.

According to the release, CJA members will benefit from free access to Jewelers Mutual-produced security training courses and materials.

"This strategic commitment will create a synergy that benefits the Canadian jewelry industry as a whole. We are proud to collaborate with the Canadian Jewellers Association," Jewelers Mutual Chief Executive Officer Darwin Copeman said in the release, adding that the the partnership will "help assure the health and vitality of Canadian jewelry industry."

The two organizations will work closely to develop better products and services for Canadian jewelry businesses and will share information on their respective areas of expertise, such as business management, insurance issues and retail strategy.

"Support from Jewelers Mutual will help the Canadian Jewellers Association continue to provide timely and valuable programs for our members and will ultimately help with membership growth," CJA President and CEO Ken Mulhall said in the release.
