USA -- Professional men in search of high-quality leather shoes and accessories and fine apparel can now define their own unique style at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE). BAA Cleveland, developer of the AIRMALL at CLE, is pleased to announce the addition of a new Johnston & Murphy store, which opened earlier this month near the Concourse B Security Checkpoint.

“Johnston & Murphy is well-known across the nation for quality craftsmanship, and BAA Cleveland is pleased to include it in the lineup of premium retailers at the AIRMALL at CLE,” said Tina LaForte, vice president of BAA Cleveland. “Travelers seeking that sophisticated, polished look have a new destination at the airport, and they can now shop for and buy their favorite apparel, footwear and accessories at ‘Regular Mall Prices…Guaranteed.’”

“When the Cleveland Airport System undertook the task of re-engineering our concessions program, we envisioned a place where travelers could choose from the highest-quality brands for clothing, gifts, and accessories,” added Ricky Smith, director of the Cleveland Airport System. “As the AIRMALL continues to take shape, the traveling public is watching that vision turn into reality, and we know that offerings such as Johnston & Murphy will greatly contribute to enhancing the passenger experience.”

Johnston & Murphy traces its roots to the late 19th century. William J. Dudley, a master craftsman who had been schooled in the classic tradition of English shoemaking, started what was then the William J. Dudley Shoe Company in Newark, NJ, in 1850. Since that time, the brand has served as shoemaker to every American president. Johnston & Murphy now boasts locations in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

Johnston & Murphy’s new location at the AIRMALL at CLE is accented by rich millwork finishes of dark wood, glass, and stainless steel. The City of Cleveland forged a 10-year contract with BAA Cleveland in February 2008 to develop and manage concessions at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport. The city anticipates the AIRMALL will double the current participation rate of local and minority-owned companies, double the number of concession jobs, and double retail sales figures during the next decade.

When complete, the AIRMALL at CLE will occupy 76,000 square feet of retail space. Johnston & Murphy is open Sunday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. and on Saturday from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
