Germany -- Entering its second season, Originals by Originals (ObyO) continues to bring together unique personalities who have each created a groundbreaking mini collection under one umbrella. Fashion designer Jeremy Scott and streetwear icon Kazuki remain creative partners of the concept. Sport and style icon David Beckham, in collaboration with James Bond from Undefeated, complete the line-up as an authentic addition that brings a luxury take on classic streetwear.

Each of the apparel, footwear and accessories articles celebrates the authenticity, creativity and originality that the Trefoil brand stands for. Products will be available in select boutiques and fashion doors from August 1st, followed by a second global retail launch in Originals stores on October 1st. This long-term partnership is represented by the adidas Originals Trefoil and the respective designer logos.

David Beckham and James Bond were inspired by the mix of classic American sportswear and fabrics with fashionable silhouettes and details. The apparel range features luxury materials such as cashmere and silk, whereas the footwear builds on iconic adidas products, such as the ZX8000. Key items of the FW09 range include the Leather Puffer Jacket and the Marathon TR Mid, featuring GoreTex technology and a sole formed by small Trefoils, both highlighting David’s personal style. On top of the classic apparel and footwear pieces, David Beckham and James Bond have also developed accessories for men, and even a long sleeve thermal shirt and pants for underneath.

Jeremy Scott, in contrast, continues his fun, fearless approach to classic sports silhouettes and has gone wild building his range around three key themes: Africa, safari and TV color block. Jeremy Scott’s offering is the only one to include men’s, women’s and unisex styles. Statement pieces include the Giraffe Pullover Dress with a dominant giraffe print and sleeve, the Safari Poncho featuring animal allover cartoon print and lightweight, packable nylon material, and the TV Down Jacket made of different colored patches. Footwear highlights embrace the African-inspired graphics and center around the key themes of the apparel line. As a follow-up to the SS09 launch season, the acclaimed JS Wings shoe comes in fresh colors, such as metallic silver with Jeremy Scott signature lace jewels and a tongue showing attention to detail. A stand-alone footwear piece, the JS Snow is a one-of-a kind snow boot featuring a soft and puffy upper.

Kazuki has again focused on highly technical and modern influences to design a stylized, very wearable streetwear collection. Exclusive materials and elements such as waterproof zippers, bonding and taping have seamlessly become a staple for Kazuki’s designs for Originals by Originals. Dedicated apparel and footwear looks are branded with the logo of famous Japanese streetwear brand Neighbourhood, featuring the word “Zivilcourage.” Highlights in his mini collection for FW09 ObyO are the leopard fur Vulcanized Sneakers and the Seamless Nylon Jacket with polka dots and leopard print details.

The second season of the industry-leading ObyO concept brings to life adidas Originals’ brand positioning, “Celebrate Originality”. By working closely with external designers who express their individuality and diversity through cutting-edge footwear and apparel styles, adidas brings excitement and freshness to the lifestyle community.
