Paragon Lake announces unique jewelry giveaway

Lexington, Mass.--Paragon Lake, creator of the Virtual Display Case, has launched a contest that will allow winners to take home a piece of jewelry that is literally like no other.

Customers at participating Paragon Lake stores are invited to design a piece of fine jewelry using the Virtual Display Case, a touch screen monitor that allows customers to pick a design and then customize it from an unlimited assortment of metal types and gemstone options. From there, customers will be entered to win the very piece they designed.

The "Design It, Win It" contest was created to continue the excitement that the Virtual Display Case has brought to retail stores and the buying community, as well as help with sales leading into the holidays, the company said.

Each participating store will give away one winning piece of fine jewelry to a winner, with a retail value of up to $2,500.

There are no entry costs and the contest can be entered in-store or on the stores' Web sites.

Paragon Lake has subsidized the costs associated with the contest and manufacturing of the winning pieces, and has also created retailer support in the form of a turnkey marketing kit that includes a postcard, Web site banner, press release and e-mail blast.

"Paragon Lake is about creating special moments," Paragon Lake founder and President Matt Lauzon said in a media release. "Our Virtual Display Case offers every jewelry shopper that moment when they create a one-of-a-kind piece of jewelry. The Design It, Win It contest is a way for us to increase sales traffic and orders for our retail partners and offer the jewelry lovers the opportunity to win a $2,500 one-of-a-kind piece of jewelry designed by themselves. It's a great jump-start to the holiday season."

The contest ends Nov. 7, 2009, and drawings will occur on Nov. 9, 2009.
