American Watch Association elects officers

Jon Omer, vice president of Harry Winston's timepiece division, was elected the chairman of the board of directors of the American Watch Association.

Washington--The American Watch Association (AWA) has elected Jon Omer, vice president of the U.S. timepiece division for Harry Winston, to the position of chairman of the board of directors.

At a meeting on Oct. 6, the AWA also elected the following officers: First Vice President: Michael Elms of Rolex, Second Vice President: Les Perry of Seiko, Treasurer: David Perlman of Citizen and Secretary: Steven Kaiser of Kaiser Time.

The association added six new members to its board of directors: Michael Elms of Rolex, Michael Kaplan of Rocket RedBox, Timothy Michno of Movado, Alyssa Mishcon of LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton, Jon Omer of Harry Winston and Ronald Wolfgang of Roger Dubuis/Richemont Group.

The full board of directors are as follows: Michael Benavente of Gucci, Henry Edelman of Patek Philippe, Michael Elms of Rolex, Neal Gordon of Swatch Group, Marc Hruschka of Chopard, Steven Kaiser of Kaiser Time, Michael Kaplan of Rocket RedBox, Timothy Michno of Movado, Alyssa Mishcon of LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton, Jon Omer of Harry Winston, Stacie Orloff of Bell and Ross, David Perlman of Citizen, Dennis Perry of Bulova, Les Perry of Seiko, Benny Shabtai of Raymond Weil, Steven Shonebarger of Bulgari and Ronald Wolfgang of Roger Dubuis/Richemont.
