USA -- My Vintage Baby Inc a public children's apparel company, announced agreements with four companies to market, sell and support the companies’ products complementary to MVBY’s own designs.
According to CEO Jessica Wiswall “MVBY’s accords with Ritzy Baby, Pixie Dust Décor, Happy Plop and My Vintage Blankie begin in January 2009. Our objectives are to increase revenue without increasing costs or taxing cash flow, to leverage My Vintage Baby’s expanding distribution, administrative and managerial capability and increase per client sales.”
“Our business cycle is very seasonal. We primarily ship during two distinct seasons a year - Spring and Fall. The alliances with complementary children’s focused companies, should smooth MVBY’s seasonality and increase revenue,” stated CFO Jeff Welsh. Welsh also stated that he expects an immediate positive financial impact.
Ritzy Baby, a line of accessories known for their lush car seat covers, will be made available in the MVBY Dallas showroom. Ritzy Baby will be allowed to utilize MVBY’s exclusive fabrics, creating the opportunity for cross merchandising for both companies. Ritzy Baby and MVBY will make available the other company’s products on their own direct to consumer websites.
MVBY customers are very excited about these alliances. Rachel Marquez, owner of the online boutique Jack and Cole Designs, stated, “I'm so excited that I can hardly stand it! I know that I would definitely buy a car seat cover that matched an outfit my child had! A very good business move in my opinion.”
“The agreements leverage MVBY’s fixed cost and compliment the current MVBY product line and add non-seasonal revenue. We continue to have similar discussions with other companies to extend our product offerings,” commented Jessica Wiswall CEO. |
